Technology services provider, Probrand, has secured a strategic alliance with the Cyber Resilience Centre to support the region’s businesses in defending against the risk of financial loss from Cyber Crime.
The West Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre (WMCRC) uses a combination of police officers and cyber talent to help protect small business, SMEs and third sector organisations in the region against cyber crime.
The WMCRC is modelled on a successful structured collaboration acclaimed by the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC).
Universities and regional police forces also form part of the partnership, to ensure the finger is on the pulse when it comes to local and national information on emerging cyber threats, criminal trends, best practice for cyber resilience and new technology.
For Probrand, which offers a dedicated cyber security portfolio and a large technical team, this alliance fits well with its mission to show businesses what risks exist and how to combat them, starting with a free risk assessment.
Mark Allbutt, Technical Services Director at Probrand says;
“Financial loss and reputational damage are the greatest risks to any business, especially at a time of rising operational costs. As the complexity and voracity of cyber risk and breaches continue to rise it has never been more important for businesses to be proactive – especially SMBs. We’re pleased to be working jointly with the Cyber Resilience Centre for the West Midlands to drive awareness and help businesses protect against financial loss and related risks."
Vanessa Eyles, Director of The Cyber Resilience Centre for the West Midlands says;
“We’re honoured to be working with Mark and the team at Probrand. Their unique approach to delivering secure IT management solutions and services puts them ahead of the curve. Welcome to the team!”
This new partnership strengthens Probrand’s position as one of the region's leading IT services specialists and demonstrates a commitment to providing the highest standards in cyber security, backed by accreditations including ISO 27001 and Cyber Essential Plus.
